Why this exists

Some memories belong to a place.

There are places that hold pieces of our lives — the corner where you first met, the beach you returned to every summer, the trail you always walked together, the café where the important conversations happened.

My Footsteps™ gives you a way to leave something there — at a place that already means everything, or simply somewhere you passed through on a vacation, in another country, along the way. Sometimes the meaning comes later, when someone you love follows in your footsteps.

How it works

A message. A place. A moment waiting to happen.

  1. 01

    Mark a place

Wherever life takes you, choose a place where you'd like to leave something behind.

  2. 02

    Make it theirs

Write a message, add photos, and choose the loved one you want to receive it.

  3. 03

    Your memory is waiting

Days, months or even years later, your memory is revealed when your loved one reaches the place where you left it.

Discovery

Somewhere, a place is holding something for you.

You've reached the place

“I used to sit right here and watch the boats come in. I always hoped that one day you'd sit here too.”

Left for you, years ago

Imagine finding their words in the place you remember them most.

A familiar street becomes a reunion.

A favorite vacation spot holds something they left just for you.

A place you shared becomes a place where you can find them again.

My Footsteps™ turns a location into a connection.

A journey through a life

Follow in their footsteps.

01The places they loved.

02The journeys they took.

03The moments they wanted you to know.

In your hands

You decide how the memory finds them.

Choose the place. Decide how close they need to be. Leave them a hint. And if the time isn't right just yet, choose when the memory can first be revealed.

  • The place

Connect your memory to a specific location.

  • The moment

Choose a date before which it cannot be revealed.

  • The distance

Decide how close your loved one needs to be.

  • The hint

Leave a clue that guides them without giving the place away.

For every kind of place

Wherever a memory lives.

For the places that shaped you

Leave stories connected to childhood homes, neighborhoods and family traditions.

For the adventures you shared

Leave messages at beaches, trails, cities and destinations you experienced together.

For the everyday places

Sometimes the most meaningful place is a café table, a park bench or the street you walked every day.

For someday

Leave a memory that someone may not discover until months or years from now.

Your message. Their moment.

You choose the message, the place and who it is meant for.

Your message is personal — written by you, for someone you choose, and connected to a place that means something to you both.

Where would you leave a memory?

Across a lifetime, there are countless places to leave something behind. Some hold a lifetime of memories. Others simply mark where your journey took you.

  • The neighborhood you called home
  • A destination halfway around the world
  • The place you always returned to
  • Somewhere they may one day stand, too
